We interviewed Jodie to introduce her to our tribe, have a read of what she said below!

Time to Introduce yourself, Jodie !

Hello I am Jodie. I am London born and I have graduated with a Media and communications degree, now I am morally and professionally putting my knowledge to good use for this company. I am happy to introduce myself but unsure of where to start. It is difficult to answer when you are put on the spot, it's similar to when someone asks ‘what is your favourite film’ and no one knows what to say. What do I start to talk about? My role at Stroodles is within the marketing and sales team and it is an invigorating and exciting role that allows for flexible creative potential and versatility. It also gives me a chance to push better, more inspiring life choices (without feeling that I am lecturing people in the same breath) . In my personal life I love writing, nature and film. I started working within the hospitality industry before this role in vibrant cities such as London and Brighton. After a while I realised that I craved something with independence and creative fluidity. This brings me to the current day where I've been given the chance to work for a company with a strong environmental and moral message. 

What does sustainability mean to you?

It is extremely important and fulfilling ethically. It is crucial that I am thoughtful with being as durable and environmentally friendly as possible. It also means being thoughtful for future generations and the children of the future. The idea that people get when they hear ‘Sustainability’ is that it is a serious subject and everyone is lectured about being sensible, that doesn't have to be the case. Stroodles adopts a fun and quirky edge to the topic which I personally love. 

How much of an eco-warrior are you? 

In my day to day life I try to be as eco friendly and caring to the environment as I can. I recycle and use natural products but now that I have joined the company, I have learnt a lot more in terms of the facts and how making an easy change makes such a difference. 

How did you start Stroodling?

I had heard of the concept and new approach to straws and sustainable ways of having drinks before. I thought that it was a good and positive idea,it wasn’t until I joined the company that I realised how inspiring the company’s ethos is and the initial aim of their message. Since this I have been converted and try to use Stroodles and their sustainable products whenever I can. 

Favourite thing about Stroodles?

My favourite drink would be a classy strong Negroni!
