This competition is organised by Stroodles Limited, [registered nr: 11579816, registered address: 85 Great Portland Street, 1st Floor, London, W1W 7LT] (‘Stroodles, ‘Stroodles Straws, Stroodles Pasta Straws, Stroodles Eco Tableware).
This competition is open from the point at which it is posted to any resident of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, excluding employees of Stroodles, their families or anyone professionally connected with this promotion (each an “Entrant”).
You can only enter in accordance with the rules of the competition as posted by Stroodles. In order to enter, you must follow the entry requirements as per below by the closing date of June 11th 23:59. Please note that Stroodles has the right to extend the closing date of the competition and announce a new date,

By participating in the Competition, you grant Stroodles and its’ associated partners a world-wide, royalty free, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable license, without limitation, to use and sub- licence the use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution.
Where you are able to submit any contribution to this competition you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant Stroodles a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution. This further extends to the display of your entry across Stroodles and Clean Ocean Sailing communications channels and externally driven Stroodles and Clean Ocean Sailing focussed press and media and displayed on the Clean Ocean Sailing sail as described in the original competition launch media. If you do not want to grant Stroodles the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution to the competition.
The Competition closes at 23:59 on the date indicated on the original competition launch post, regardless of whether the entry post still appears to be live. Entries submitted after this closing date will not be considered for the main prize, even if it is still possible to submit them. However, Stroodles has the right to extend the closing date of the competition and announce a new date.
The main prize is a sustainability hamper worth £100 and the winning design on the sail for 10+ years.
After the closing date submissions will still continue to be accepted. Submissions received after this time will be eligible to be selected to cover a flag on Clean Ocean Saling’s Boat mast for a one-month period over 12 continuous or non-continuous months.
The independent judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be notified by direct message on the social media platform/ email address of their entry within 28 days of the closing date. If they have provided an email address, we will endeavour to email the winners. Stroodles will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. However, if it is not possible to contact the winner within 28 days of the closing date, that winner will be disqualified and Stroodles will ask the judge to choose another winner and efforts will be made to contact them.
There is no cash alternative and no exchanges are available.
Events may occur that render the competition or the awarding of prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter and accordingly Stroodles may, at its absolute discretion, vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the promoter as a result thereof.
There will only be [one] winner and [twelve] runners up and their name[s] can be obtained from Stroodles by e-mailing [info@stroodles.co.uk] in line with General Data Protection Regulations.
If you are the winner, you may be required by Stroodles to take part in publicity related to the subject of the competition, and you now confirm that if you are the winner and accept the prize, you will take part in such publicity.
By submitting your contribution to Stroodles you warrant that your contribution is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to Stroodles for any or all of the purposes specified above. Furthermore, you warrant your contribution is not defamatory, does not infringe any law, you indemnify Stroodles against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by Stroodles as a result of your breach of the above warranty and waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on the Site and the purposes specified above.
You consent to your first name, photograph and social media handles being disclosed on Stroodles digital channels or other media if you win any Prizes under the Competition
Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with UK data regulations and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
By entering the Competition, you agree that Stroodles may contact you in relation to the Competition.
Stroodles do not accept liability for any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or any damages whatsoever arising out of, or in connection with the competition.
Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, Stroodles and its associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from:
● any postponement or cancellation of the Competition;
● any changes to, supply of or use of the Prize; and
● any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond Stroodles reasonable control.
Stroodles does not accept responsibility for any liability arising from technical incompatibility, problems relating to the internet, or technical difficulties of any kind and no responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
Stroodles shall not be liable, whether in tort, contract, misrepresentation or otherwise for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses
You agree to indemnify Stroodles against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of your agreement with Stroodles.
We reserve the right to change the Competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the Website, the Website terms and conditions will apply.
These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
