Stroodles Edible Spoons
Introducing our Stroodles spoons!
These are available in the following sizes and flavours:
Ice cream spoons: Size: 6.8-7cm. Available in oat and choc flavour (gluten-free).
Dessert Spoons: Size: 8.7cm. Available in oat flavour
Large spoons: Size: 14cm. Available in cocoa, pepper & masala, and classic.

One of the reasons we decided to include spoons on our roster of products is because of the huge issue that plastic utensils pose to the environment. It is estimated that a staggering 40 billion plastic knives, forks, and spoons are discarded every year in the United States alone! These products tend to be single use and so are thrown out, ending up in landfills and in our waterways. Most of these utensils won’t even be recycled as they are too small, too lightweight and often contaminated in a way that isn’t suitable to be used again.
Our Stroodles spoons on the contrary are biodegradable and our smallest spoons are even made by using the excess flours from food production that would otherwise go to waste.
These spoons are perfect for going camping, to a festival, to a picnic, or to the park. You can bin these after use without feeling bad or you can EAT them which is the ultimate zero-waste flex 😉

Stroodles Edible Plates & Bowls
Introducing our Stroodles Plates & Bowls!
All of our plates and bowls are made from wheat bran, so they have an earthy flavour to them. They are available in the following sizes:
Round bowls: Size: 20 cm.
Oval bowls: Size: 24 cm.
Small Plate: Size: 20 cm.
Large Plate: Size: 24 cm.
All our plates and bowls are:
• 100% Biodegradable
• Fully compostable in 30 days
• Vegan friendly
• Completely Edible
All of these products remain intact for the full duration of your meal and they won’t crumble. They are suitable for serving hot and cold meals and can even be used in classic ovens and microwave ovens! They won’t affect the flavour of your food, but they will make for a great snack after you have finished eating!
Our Stroodles plates are a much better alternative to plastic, paper, or Styrofoam plates. It takes 20 years to decompose paper in a landfill and foam takes more than a million years… Also foam is derived from petroleum sources and even paper plates, which are created from trees, tend to be coated with a thin petroleum-derived plastic layer.

We were shocked to learn that worldwide over 500 billion plastic cups are used every year and 16 billion disposable coffee cups are used each year as well. Unfortunately this huge 11.88 billion dollar market is set to expand in the next 7 years, with statisticians estimating there will be a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.2% from 2021 to 2028.
Hopefully, the UK will change its regulations on single-use plastic cups, following the example of France, who at the end of August 2019 introduced policy that would ban disposable, single-use utensils, cups, and plates. However, until such time we suggest you join us in disrupting this market & in turn helping the planet by using a Stroodles cup instead.

Although we have broadened our range of products, we still LOVE our famous Pasta Straws! These are the cornerstone of Stroodles. These awesome, sustainable straws kicked off our company and the importance of them is still as strong today as it was when we started, if not more so. If we look at recent statistics they suggest that in the US alone almost 500 millions straws are used every day. Evidently the need to use sustainable alternatives remains to be critical to avoid this shocking degree of plastic waste.
